Have you got issues with unsent issues?

Every so often in Business Collaborator you may see the tell-tale brown text against a document that shows that it is attached to an issue.
The text shows up in the Tasks Out column. You'll be able to see the status of the issue that the documents are attached to in the square brackets after the issue name. Sometimes you might notice that the issue's status is [Not Sent].
That's great if you want to pick up from where you left off and finish sending the issue, since all you need to do is click on the text and you will be taken straight back into the issuing process.
But sometimes the issue has been left behind by mistake. For example, you may have started a new issue and sent that out, instead of picking up the existing one.
This article will tell you how to remove the unwanted issue and clear the text from the Tasks Out column, so you can focus on your other tasks.
Abandon Issue

Click on the text in the Tasks Out column. This will take you back into the issuing process
- Click View/Change or Abandon Issue
- Click the Abandon Issue button to confirm
The Abandon Issue action instantly destroys the unsent issue. Part of the process detaches the documents from the unsent issue. This ensures that the text for that issue will not appear beside the documents any more.
Finding all your unsent issues
If you have a lot of unsent issues, you probably want a faster way to find them all. You can use one of the common searches to bring up a list of all the unsent issues you have in a project, or across BC.
- Start at the level that interests you. For example, if you want to search for all the unsent issues you have in a particular project, go to the top level of the project.
- Click on the Common Searches tab. (You can read more about common searches here)
- Click the Go button next to search #9
- BC will return a list of all the unsent issues it found for you in that location and its subfolders.
To use Abandon Issue to clear the issues up entirely:
- Click on the name of the first issue. This will take you to the issue sheet.
- Click View/Change or Abandon Issue
- Click the Abandon Issue button to confirm.
- Repeat the steps for each unsent issue in the search results.
